Can I attend University of Alabama online?

How does Bama by distance work?
Bama By Distance offers course video streaming online. Lectures are recorded as they occur and streamed via the internet the same day. Students complete the same course requirements as on-campus students and may take proctored exams through a variety of convenient options.
Is Bama by distance asynchronous?
The program is asynchronous, and we currently use Blackboard as our learning platform.
Can you go to college full time online?
Yes. Students taking online courses with an accredited collge or university are considered full time student if he/she is enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester or an equivalent full time student schedule.
Do online degrees say online?
The short answer? No. Degrees earned at an academic institution do not state that a degree was earned in person or online.
How much is the application fee for Alabama?
There is a $40 application fee for the first-time freshman application. The University of Alabama will not require standardized ACT or SAT scores from students applying through the Fall 2022 Semester. Admission consideration for freshman entering through the Fall 2022 Semester will be based on a holistic review.
Do online degrees have graduation?
There’s no requirement that online schools, or traditional schools offering an online program, offer a graduation ceremony for their students. Those who want to apply during Free App Week must submit their contact information on the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ Free App Week webpage. Applicants will then receive instructions to submit an undergraduate application for free. Free App Week also applies to graduate schools at the University.
