Walls on offer range from 12m to 28m in height. Aerial assault – Are you brave enough to take on the aerial assault? Take a leap of faith and step off a platform 100 ft above the arena, fly down the death-defying twisted zip slide and then follow a series of formidable obstacles.
Is clip and climb Edinburgh Open?
Please note: Clip ‘n Climb is open Friday 2-6pm and Saturday-Sunday 09:30am-16:45pm. There are 15 minute breaks between each session.

How do you book clip and climb?
Book your session now using our online booking system. Alternatively you can book over the phone by calling us on 01392 422 559. Our reception is open daily from 10am to 8pm for booking and other enquiries.
What age can you clip and climb?
4 years old
What is your minimum age? Our minimum age is 4 years old for our regular sessions. For our Little Rockers sessions, climbers must be over 2 years old and be at least 12kg to climb.
Do you have to book Clip N Climb?
Booking Queries Standard climbing sessions must be booked online through our website. We highly recommend during peak times, such as weekends and school holidays, that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Can you wear jeans to clip n climb?
Climbers should wear loose and comfortable clothing (we advise against skirts and dresses).
Can adults go to Clip N climb?
Clip ‘n Climb is great fun for adults too! It’s a great aerobic workout and there are challenges there even for the most experienced climbers. Also keep an eye out for some adult cardio fitness sessions coming soon to the clip & climb to help you get fit whilst having fun.
Can I wear jeans to clip and climb?
Yes. You’ll probably see a few people wearing skinny jeans climbing or bouldering. You might wonder just how people do this without restricting their movement. We’re big fans because you can wear one pair of jeans casually and for climbing, and get the protection and stretch needed.
Can adults go to Clip N Climb?
How long are Clip N Climb sessions?
The Clip ‘n Climb experience includes a 30 minute introduction, harness fitting and safety briefing then a full 55 minutes climbing, finally 5 minutes to remove harness and exit the arena.
Can you wear shorts for CLIP and climb?
A lot of our guests have been surprised how much of a work out the session is, so loose fitting, sporty clothes are recommended. Crop tops are not advised, and hoodies are not allowed. Only closed toe shoes are allowed. For safety reasons, we cannot allow sandals, flip flops or rock shoes into the Clip ‘n Climb Arena.
How to get to the EICA?
EICA is Europe’s largest indoor climbing centre and alongside world-class climbing walls, features a bouldering room and a gym overlooking the main arena. It’s easy to get to the EICA via car or even bicycle if you travel via the Union Canal.
Is EICA Ratho open for climb Scotland events?
EICA:Ratho will be hosting a series of Climb Scotland events Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. During these events the competition walls will not be open to public, and access to the tower top ropes will also be limited. The rest of the climbing walls and EICA:Ratho facilities will be open as usual though.
