Is PixInsight free?
Developers on the PixInsight platform are free to release their PixInsight modules and scripts under the conditions and licenses that they decide: either as commercial, shareware, freeware, or open-source products.
What is WBPP PixInsight?
WBPP now separates the two stages of pre-processing and post-processing. Pre-processing is the calibration phase that generates the master calibration files along with the calibrated light frames. In that phase: calibration master files are generated first (master bias, master dark and master flat)
Should I buy PixInsight?
PixInsight is an excellent tool. It was designed explicitly for astrophotography, and it solves the problems we face very well. It DOES have a learning curve, but at it’s core, it isn’t more complicated than learning PS the first time. It’s well worth the cost.
Where is PixInsight license file?
PixInsight is licensed to one person, who can install and use it on any number of computers. The license file is stored in a different place than before. Under Windows, it is stored under %appdata%.
Does PixInsight stack images?

What is cosmetic correction PixInsight?

Is PixInsight worth the cost?
PixInsight isn’t cheap. But it’s worth every penny imho. PS One more advantage – the documentation for PixInsight is generally far better than most software applications. It’s also a very stable piece of software from my experience.
How hard is PixInsight?
It is indeed true that Pixinsight is hard to learn. With over 100 processes and a similar number of scripts it can seem overwhelming. It is particularly hard because it does not come with any “beginner’s guide” documentation.
